This piece is an appreciation for Josh Cavallo, an openly gay footballer and advocate for ending discrimination in football, which is an industry which can seem behind the times. When I made this post he had recently left Adelaide United, a team in the Australian A-League having won the division once and the domestic cup (Australia Cup) three times. Josh Cavallo featured 55 times for the club over four seasons. He made a lasting impact on Australian football as he leaves the country for a challenge elsewhere.
